For me, the lack of Chaucer in my reading diet is a point of motivation--I don't have a course to motivate me to read it, and thus it doesn't make the reading list. I did, however, commit to reading The Romance of the Three Kingdoms a couple of years ago--the unabridged translation--and found it very enriching. Difficult to get through, but I think perhaps the more rewarding for that.

Which means that I probably ought to get back to one of those challenging reads again before my brain rewires to much!
