Somehow it doesn't surprise me that you and Gail are friends. I don't recall how I first found her blog (inevitably through someone else's -- which is one of the best things about lj), but I've been following her for awhile. So I didn't find her on the shelf, per se (FTC disclosure, her publisher sent me an advance copy because she was guest blogging here), but we've not met in person. Someday, I hope that face-to-face meeting comes about!

Also, you have a remarkable number of cool writers in your friends' circle. :)
