Exciting Panel Sequentials!

Not to brag (I really don't mean to here, since I'm just the writer and the art is what makes me clap my hands with glee), but today's page for Cowboys and Aliens 2 is definitely worth going over and taking a look at. We did a splash page divided in panels with one moving part that goes throughout. It worke so well that some people even missed the moving figure the first read through!

I'm just gleeful at how well it worked. Yay paneled storytelling!

Cool. I noticed the moving figure, but then my geekitude is strong in the ways of comics as you know.

I remember Brad Meltzer talking about how much story can be told with panelling, without a single word. How a simple trick of "zooming" to the bead of sweat on a character's face shows his apprehension or fear, much more than a thought balloon on shocked face. So I thought of that while silently watching her move from panel to panel, like ninja. Now when you get around to the pirates I'll start paying attention. ;)

Your geekitude is strong. :) But hey, if I reminded you of Brad Meltzer in *any* way, I must be doing something right...

As for pirates... Who was committing acts of piracy in the 1870s? I suppose we could always have space pirates...
