I know the second book and think I know the first, which if I am right means that I agree both are excellent forms of romantic angst. Graceling... didn't work for me as well as for some people. The initial romance stuff happened too easily, definitely in terms of plot and partly I felt in terms of characterization. It was just what happened, not what I was hope hope hoping would happen.
