My main problem with the ebook readers is two-fold. One is that they are normally wrapped up in some format that is a pain in the ass to get a file into. The readers I've seen where kind of slow and didn't have that much memory either. The other is that for about the same price, you can get a Palm or WinCE or n800 (yummy) that basically does the same thing plus more. Including solitaire.
Having a downloaded form of Wikipedia would be cool, but it hopefully is on a download site or a torrent. MediaWiki (I use that for http://moonfire.us/ and http://sepia.mfgames.com/) is rather slow on the download and Wikipedia has a ton of articles. On the other hand, things like the poster reputation system was kick-ass and the audit on who changes what is also cool.
