Although my work hasn't yet been featured in a Fantasist Enterprises (FE) anthology, I hold out the hope that one day, it will. To that end, I'd like to see them remain successful, and so I've finally put my money where my mouth is and ordered several of their older anthologies that are currently on sale as part of a funding drive. They are also selling t-shirts and encouraging folks to spread the word about FE projects.

What is FE all about? To quote from Mr. Horner's recent e-mail:

When I started Fantasist Enterprises almost ten years ago, I had three major goals in mind: 1) Create new markets for short fantasy fiction. 2) Help re-grow the popularity of the short story as a literary form. 3) Bring illustrations back to literature in the artistic marriage that the Pre-Raphaelites so championed.

I've certainly learned a lot since those early days, in respect to writing and editing, art directing, and running a publishing company. I've also met numerous friends, mentors, and students over the years--something that is infinitely valuable. It has been a joy to work with
so many talented writers and artists.

If you haven't bought any of the FE anthologies, now is definitely the time to do it, as there are two two-for-one packages and another of the anthologies is on sale. If you're not in the purchasing market right now, at least pop by the site and check them out!

Oh, I completely agree. I don't know if they have another submissions, but I definitely try. This trying to get published thing is somewhat hard, and I got to keep trying.
