I'll be sending out individual posts to people's journals regarding this, but I wanted to remind folks about the guest blogging about myth idea I mentioned a month or three ago. Some people expressed interest in participating, and I'm still interested in hearing/posting what you have to say! So, if we discussed doing this earlier (or if we didn't talk but you'd love to write about myth!), here's the full scoop:

1) I'm planning to collect guest blogs from people until I have enough to post them once a week. So there's no real deadline here, but I'd like to start collecting them soon.

2) The idea for the entry (which should be between 250-500 words) should be on the importance of myth in X. You fill in the X. It could be about how you're using myth in a series you're writing, about using myth in games or any sort, or about the importance of myth as an academic study. I'm almost as interested in how people approach the theme as I am what people have to say.

3) While I'm not, you know, actually paying guest bloggers with cashy money, I would like to pimp your work. So I'll do a short bio for you and will link to your blog, your books, whatever you'd like.

4) Those three bullet points are really more like suggestions. I'm a pretty flexible blogger. :)

Thanks again to the people who are thinking of contributing!

Is that "Ooh, I want to write something for Alana" or "Ooh, I'm excited to read these"? ;)

This sounds fun. A lot of research into fairy mythology went into Pixie Warrior. (Drollerie Press, release is next week.). I would participate in this. How do we submit?

You should really talk to [livejournal.com profile] darkshiver, I bet she would love to write something up about the novel she is working on and/or some of the RPG work she has done with Abstract Nova.

Thanks for the lead! I'll go post on her blog now. I'm extremely interested in myth and gaming, so I'll be super excited to discuss.
